Store Energy in Lithium Batteries

Lithium Batteries are the best performing source of mobile energy at the moment. They power appliaces from the size of mobile phones up to cars like the Tesla. Different from NiCd Batteries, Lithium Batteries can be recharged more flexibly, eg. also when they are not completly empty.

Li-ion batteries use lithium compounds which are more stable than the elemental lithium used in non-rechargeable lithium batteries.

A key advantage of lithium batteries is their higher energy density: for their size and weight they store much more energy than other batteries, and also have a lower self discharge rate copüared to NiMH and NiCd batteries.
